Rod was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Sydney in 1985, before moving to Bathurst in 1987. While in Sydney, Rod worked for a large firm of solicitors and was involved in complex commercial and property matters. Since moving to Bathurst, he has developed a broad property and commercial practice.
Rod specialises in conveyancing, mortgages and commercial leases. He is a trusted advisor to small and large businesses in the Bathurst and Oberon areas, assisting with legal matters ranging from establishment of businesses to restructuring and transactional work.
Rod’s work in relation to deceased estates ranges from estate planning and will drafting, to administration of deceased estates and litigation where disputes arise. He also advises with respect to GST and capital gains tax.
Rod has just been appointed as an Arbitrator for the Bathurst Local Court and is a former member of the Charles Sturt University Animal Care and Ethics Committee. Rod is married and has two daughters.
